Lagos Free Zone Partners with Welcome2Africa International to drive Investment

The Lagos Free Zone Company, a Tolaram venture, is collaborating with Welcome2Africa International (W2A), a trade and investment facilitation company, to drive investment in the Nigerian maritime sector by sponsoring The Nigerian Seaports Investment Forum (NSIF2022), scheduled to hold on the 28th of September 2022 at the Providence by Mantis, Lagos.

Lagos Free Zone (LFZ), which is Nigeria’s first private free zone, has since its inception in 2012 attracted FDI over USD2.5bn into the zone from multinationals such as Kellogg, Arla Foods, BASF, and Colgate to name a few. This is because of its strategic location, 360 industrial eco-system with world-class infrastructure, focus on ease of doing business, and integration with the upcoming Lekki Deep Sea Port, which is expected to commence operations by December 2022.

With a single-window clearance for operational efficiency, LFZ is fast becoming the number one investment destination for manufacturing and logistics companies in Nigeria because of its unique value proposition, incentives, and support extended to investors.

In addition to the LFZ, other sponsors of the NSIF2022 include the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC), the Nigerian Export Promotions Commission (NEPC), Zenith Carex International, AFEX, and Oneport365.

According to the organizers, the program will feature speakers on topics including investments, security, infrastructure, technology, policy, agriculture, and global trade.
